Managing trading accounts
How to use this page
Section titled “How to use this page”Open Account → Account management (Account management). Trading accounts let you separate brokers, live vs paper, or different capital pools. Every import, sync, and manual trade is tied to an account.
What you see
Section titled “What you see”- A list of your trading accounts (name, type, balance)
- Actions to add, edit, or remove accounts
Add an account
Section titled “Add an account”- Open Account management.
- Create a new account.
- Enter:
- Name — e.g. “Alpaca live” or “Prop challenge”
- Type — match how you use the account
- Starting balance — opening equity for P&L context
- Save, then use that account when you connect a broker, import CSV, or enter trades manually.
Best practices
Section titled “Best practices”- One brokerage connection or CSV source per trading account when possible
- Name accounts clearly so filters on Dashboard, Trades, and Reports stay readable
- Record deposits and withdrawals with cash transactions so balances stay accurate
