eToro — How to set up broker auto sync

Automatically import trades from your eToro account into TradeReview. You connect by signing in with eToro and approving read-only access. TradeReview never sees your eToro password and cannot place trades or move money.

  • A TradeReview account with an active Pro subscription
  • An eToro account (real or demo)

Step 1: Open the Broker Sync page in TradeReview, or click the + button in the sidebar and choose Broker Sync.

Step 2: Click Add new broker.

Step 3: Select eToro from the broker list.

Step 4: Choose Live or Demo under Account type: Live for your real eToro account, Demo for your virtual portfolio.

Step 5: Click Add broker. You are redirected to eToro to sign in and approve access for TradeReview.

Step 6: After you approve, you return to TradeReview. Your eToro account is linked and the initial sync starts automatically.

  • Every hour: TradeReview imports your newly closed trades and refreshes your open positions.
  • History: On first connect, TradeReview imports trades closed in roughly the last 12 months (the history eToro makes available).
  • Open positions: Open positions appear as open trades. When you close a position on eToro, the same trade is updated with the exit on the next sync.
  • Partial closes: Each partial close is saved as its own closed trade; the rest of the position stays open.
  • Profit: Net P&L matches eToro, including non-USD instruments. Overnight fees and dividends are shown as swap.
  • CopyTrader: Positions opened by copying other traders are not imported. Only the trades you place yourself are synced.
  • Real and demo: Connect each one separately by choosing Live or Demo when adding the broker. They appear as separate accounts (“eToro” and “eToro Demo”).
  • Your edits are kept: Notes, tags, strategies, screenshots, and stop loss / take profit you add in TradeReview stay on the trade when it is updated by a sync.

On the Broker Sync page you can:

  • View Last sync and Next sync for each linked account
  • Click Resync now to trigger a manual sync (available once every 15 minutes)
  • Click Fix if the connection status shows Broken, then sign in with eToro again

Removing the eToro account from TradeReview also revokes TradeReview’s access on eToro.
