MetaTrader 5 — How to set up broker auto sync

Automatically import trades from your MetaTrader 5 (MT5) account into TradeReview using your account credentials.

  • A TradeReview account with an active Pro subscription
  • A MetaTrader 5 account with your broker
  • Your MT5 server name, login (account number), and password (investor/read-only password is recommended)

Step 1: Open the Broker Sync page in TradeReview, or click the + button in the sidebar and choose Broker Sync.

Step 2: Click Add new broker.

Step 3: Select MetaTrader 5 from the broker list.

Step 4: Choose Live or Demo under Account type.

Step 5: Enter your MT5 credentials:

  • Server — your broker’s MT5 server name (for example, BrokerName-Live)
  • Login — your MT5 account number
  • Password — your MT5 account password or investor password

Step 6: Click Add broker. TradeReview validates your credentials and starts the initial sync.

  • Scheduled sync: TradeReview syncs MT5 trades every hour.
  • History: On first connect, TradeReview imports your full account trade history.
  • Incremental syncs: Subsequent syncs fetch recent trades from the last few days to stay up to date.

On the Broker Sync page you can:

  • View Last sync and Next sync for each linked account
  • Click Resync now to trigger a manual sync (available once every 15 minutes)
  • Click Fix if the connection status shows Broken (for example, after a password change) and re-enter your credentials

Stocks, Crypto, and Forex traded through MetaTrader 5.

If you prefer not to connect your account, you can import MT5 trades manually using an HTML report. See the MetaTrader 5 file upload guide.
